2016 ACTIVITIES

2016 was a really exciting year for us with many first experiences. Here are the highlights !

KIDZANIA - 18 MARCH 2016

Thanks to the incredible generosity of KidZania, which gifted us 70 free tickets (50 for children and 20 for adults), our students experienced the thrill of stepping into various professions. From putting out fires as firefighters and preparing meals at McDonald's to expressing creativity as artists, entertaining as celebrities, packing food as factory workers, and caring for patients as dentists—the list was endless!

This hands-on experience truly brought their classroom lessons to life, sparking inspiration and curiosity.

Thank you Kidzania for making this learning possible!

"Field trips are windows to the world, connecting classroom learning to real-life experiences and inspiring curiosity and exploration in children."

PENANG FIELD TRIP - 29 ~ 31 JULY 2016

We made its first field trip to Penang. The 3 days/ 2 nights trip was packed with many activities and very importantly an eye-opener for all our children. Come see what they experienced!

LITTLE SISTERS OF THE POOR - 29 JULY 2016

Our students visited well known home for the aged run by the Little Sisters of the Poor. As pilgrims from Singapore fed the residents, our students entertained the crowd with our 3 act performance of "Who is My Neighbour, It's I who Builds Community & Open our Eyes Lord" .

ST JOSEPH CHILDREN'S HOME - 30 JULY 2016

Our students had the opportunity to spend time with the children from St. Joseph Home. We entertained them with both English and Myanmar songs, gave them each presents and played games. It was great meeting children from other background & community.

PENANG HILL - 29 JULY 2016

We had had the opportunity to visit the city's jewel, Penang hill. We were treated with spectacular views and memorable 5D experience

Teaching children to pay it forward, even from challenged backgrounds, fosters the belief that they too can make a difference."

CHRISTMAS CAROLING 2016

This Christmas, our students embraced the spirit of giving by paying it forward for the many blessings we received in 2016. Over three nights, they went caroling at homes, condominiums, clubhouses, BEC groups, and even a 5 star hotel!

Every cent collected was donated to those in need:

  • 20% to Rumah Astana Orphanage (Kajang) as a gesture of gratitude to Malaysia.
  • 40% to Jesuit Refugee Services (JRS) for its international refugee work.
  • 40% to PERCH, a convalescence home offering 24-hour care to refugee patients free of charge.

It was a heartwarming effort to spread joy and make a difference!

SPORTS DAY - 30 APRIL 2016

Conceptualized and organized by the Taylor's International School Interact Club, ZRCLC held its very first Sports Day on April 30, 2016, at TISKL.

Our students competed in three House Teams—Red, Blue, and Yellow—across three age categories. Each category worked hard to earn points for their House, culminating in Red House being crowned Champion! For the first time, our parents actively participated in a school event, cheering enthusiastically for their children and creating a truly festive atmosphere.

For many students and parents, it was their first Sports Day, making it an unforgettable experience. This milestone event, a first in ZRCLC's 8-year history, will be fondly remembered and could mark the beginning of an Annual Sports Day tradition for our school!
